44th Elsie Quarterman Cedar Glade Wildflower Festival

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 04/30/2022
On Saturday, April 30th, we will feature a full day of informative walks highlighting birds, butterflies, geology, native plant gardening, edible plants, and more around the park. Activities are suited for families, including programs designed to introduce children to cedar glades and wildflowers.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

The festival is named for the late Dr. Elsie Quarterman, a distinguished biologist and tireless advocate for the cedar glades. The wildflower festival is co-sponsored by Middle Tennessee State University's Center for Cedar Glade Studies.

Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity for the park to demonstrate the importance of conservation and the reason the park protects these natural resources. We will see you in May!
