Meet artist Ralph Earl and hear about his close relationship with his patron Andrew Jackson and the history he witnessed from behind the easel. Earl not only painted numerous portraits of Jackson beginning after the Battle of New Orleans, he married into the family and lived with them at The Hermitage and The White House. He died shortly after their return from Washington.
