Hummingbird Banding

Ruby Throated Hummingbirds are such a joy to watch zipping around the feeders at Montgomery Bell Inn, but the number of birds present and consistency of birds is unknown. Our Hummingbird banding sessions will enable us to: Effectively sample Ruby Throat populations so trends can be detected, Use the resulting data to assist in thier preservation and protection, Involve and educate park staff and visitors in the importance of communities where the hummingbirds may thrive.
