Every person on the tour must bring a working flashlight and wear good walking shoes (no sandals or flipflops). Due to the presence of White Nose Syndrome (WNS) in our cave, clean caving protocols are in effect. Every person on the tour must have two pairs of shoes. One pair to wear inside the cave and another pair to change into when exiting the cave. You will be given instructions on how to properly disinfect the shoes worn in the cave. This is done to prevent the further spread of this disease which has already killed millions of bats nationwide. The cave has a mud floor and can be slippery. It is not recommended for people with mobility issues. Reservations can be made by calling the park office during office hours which are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Children under 5 years old are not allowed on the Cave Hike for safety reasons.
Photography is not allowed in the cave due to the presence of Native American cave art.
Bags, backpacks and purses are not allowed due to the chance of contamination (WNS) and for security.
