In this imaginative new musical, names are not given in the traditional sense. Instead, they are chosen based on how others perceive you, and how you perceive yourself. Tall, Rich, Funny, Blonde - these labels define who you are and where you fit in the world. Shadow is a young person without the ability to see her own reflection. As a result, she identifies herself only by her shadow - the only part of herself that she can see. This captivating musical takes you on Shadow's journey of self-discovery as she strives to bring every aspect of her unique self into the light. With original music by Cori Anne Laemmel and Laura Matula, this brand-new musical delves into the complexities of identity, exploring how we label ourselves and how others label us, and the delicate balance between the two. Shadow, a new musical premiering this summer only at The Theater Bug, promises to shine a light on our shared humanity and serve as a powerful reminder that we are all loved - whoever we are.
