Wild Mommas at Shelby Bottoms Nature Center
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 05/07/2022
Mother's Day is coming and we are now in full baby season for most native wildlife species in Tennessee. Take a walk with wildlife rehabilitators Devon and Meghan through Shelby Bottoms Park to look for signs of motherhood in the park! A low impact walk of under one-mile through the park will be all we need to spot nests of varying types inhabited by different wildlife families.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
The rehabbers will be available to answer questions on reuniting and re-nesting displaced babies and other ways to keep wildlife families together and preventing accidental orphaning.
